Click Here for more information on AIF YP Philadelphia International Flower Show Saturday, February 27, 2010 8:00PM at Philadelphia Convention Center infin8 performed a high-energy Bollywood piece choreographed by renowned celebrity choreographer Rujuta Vaidya. All proceeds from this event support The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and its acclaimed urban greening program, Philadelphia Green. Pratham YUVA - "Just Cause: For Expression and Expanding Education" - February 25, 2010 Pratham YUVA hosted an evening of art dance and charity for expression and expanding education to children in India. Infin8 performed "In the Blind," and their newest piece, "Flight." Pratham is a grass-roots organization that serves over 200,000 underprivileged children per day across 21 states in India through their direct educaiton programs. Infin8 & Lend-a-Hand India Dance Class - January 31, 2010 On Sunday, January 31st, infin8 Dance partnered with Lend-a-Hand India for a Bollywood-style dance class fundraiser. The class was a fun and energizing way to learn a calorie-burning routine of Bollywood, pop and bhangra dance moves. Infin8 Dance performed at Navatman's 18 month celebration alongside Navatman's key contributing musical groups for 2010 including Elizabeth Burke, Banyan Trees, Trina Basu and Amali Premawardhana. MAPI Annual Banquet - Detroit, MI -- 11/14/09 Infin8 presented "In the Blind" at the The Michican Assocation of Physicians of Indian Origin Annual Gala. Erasing Borders: Festival of Indian Dance - 8/19/09 Indo-American Arts Council’s Erasing Borders: Festival of Indian Dance was a part of Battery Dance Company’s 28th Annual Downtown Dance Festival. Infin8 presented "In the Blind" (2009) - a commentary on the recent financial crisis. The New York Times called the performance "the most enchantingly chic..." of the festival. Infin8 Dance Company Class Fundraiser- 6/28/09 On Sunday, June 28th, Infin8 partnered with Education Access for All for a Bollywood – style dance class that mixes traditional Indian folk dances with hip-hop moves. The goal of this class was to use Infin8’s unique dance style to introduce to elements of bollywood dance and bhangra through a fun, high-energy, calorie-burning dance routine. Seeds of Peace - Float for Peace - 6/16/09 Infin8 performed at the Seeds of Peace Float for Peace event. 100% of the proceeds went towards funding camp scholarships for young leaders from around the world to attend the International Camp in Maine this summer. GOPIO 3rd Annual Banquet – 4/26/09 Infin8 performed at the GOPIO-CT 3rd Annual Awards Gala on Sunday, April 26th. At the event, GOPIO-CT honored Mr. Dan Malloy, Mayor of Stamford, CT, Dr. Priyamvada Natarajan, and Dr. Ajay Kapur. Infin8 performed Priviledge (2005) at the event. The piece features music by Dave Matthew’s Band, Hariharan, and Badmarsh & Shri. HVAPI Banquet – 12/5/08 The Hudson Valley Association of Physicians of Indian origin hosted their annual banquet on December 5, 2008. Infin8 performed a Bollywood medly at the event. ‘Glimpses of India’ Fundraiser -- 9/27/08 Infin8 performed at the ‘Glimpses of India’ Fundraiser. The arts exhibition raised money for the L.V. Prasad Eye Institute in India. Marathi Vishwa – Zalak ‘08′ competition -- 4/2008 Infin8 won 2nd place at the competition, with “Revival” (2008). |
